Never again will i ever install it, it has caused me untold problems.

It has stopped some of my games working and there are no patches available, it cause my comp to slow right down.

Windows would shut from time to time, the start menu was delayed now and then.

I never had any of this trouble when i had no SP's installed, so I have gone back to the basic winxp pro.

About 3 weeks ago i decided to format and install winxp pro with SP2, it was ok-ish for about a week and thats when strange things started to happen.

I ran several virus scanners complete with update files (carefully making sure i un-installed each one before i installed the next one ;) ) and no virus's where found.

I also ran all my spyware progs and again no spyware found, so for me it could only be SP2 that was causing me grief.

As i mentioned in my earlier post I have reverted back to standard xp pro and no service packs, i'll stick with this as it never ever give me any (much) grief at all ;)
